Let's sit by the window
And wait for the sun to fizzle out,
Letting the evening hues fall on our faces
And watch silently as the dusk takes over
Wiping the day's last traces.
I will tell you some things about myself,
If you promise to sympathize
Or at least pretend you do;
I dont want to be the only one speaking,
So you can confide in me too
I love your company,
Your ways, your smile and all that
But I haven't as yet, told you so
Though now that I see you in this pinkish light,
I feel this craving to let u know
I hate to ask for what I want,
So dont make me say it aloud;
I might sulk, repine, or even cry
If you fail to fathom my capricious heart-
Abstruse like this evening's sky.
I may be impossible
I admit, I know
For I am my own plight;
So hold on to this dusk and dont let my secrets
Slip unnoticed into the night.

{This poem won me a weekly competition at IAW, despite the fact that I'm thoroughly ashamed of it now}
A PLACE WHERE GHOSTS OF OLD TIMES STILL LURK... BUT LIFE MOVES ON, TRIUMPHANT.
